Boxspring Daydream is an L.A. based band that formed in 2018. Created by front-men Drew Dunivan and Jonathan Rush. Drew, a California native had ambitions of being a writer for film and television. When his school failed to engage him, he turned to music while desperately trying to finish and get his degree. and Jonathan: A Florida native with a dream of moving to Hollywood to become a successful actor. The two members met when Jonathan had nowhere to go and needed a place to stay. Boxspring Daydream was born out of the desperation of creation. The early stages of their music journey turned into a 7 song EP titled "Adult Youth". Containing songs like "Visitors" and "Lucid" which show off their more weird and experimental side, while songs like "Somebody Someday" and "Noah" show a more personal singer-songwriter style. After the release of "Adult Youth" the group went on hiatus for mental health reasons.
Boxspring Daydream reunited in Santa Cruz the following year, this meet up would turn into a session which later became "Summer Doesn't Exist". Five years later they returned with a new song, "A Single Cloud".
