Boyd

Boyd Brown, aka "Boyd," was born in Jacksonville, Florida. Boyd began his musical journey at the age of 9 as a drummer, performing across the East Coast throughout his teenage years and early adulthood. First learning to DJ while attending the University of Florida, Boyd has hosted countless notable events throughout the state of Florida over the years. After learning the art of music production, Boyd was taken in as an intern by in one of Miami's most prestigious music studios and has since worked alongside names such as DMX, Steve Aoki, Eladio Carrión, Ben Billion$, and more.

Drawing off of influences of varying styles and genres, Boyd cites producers such as T-Minus, Scott Storch, Kane Beatz, Timbaland, and Drumma Boy as long-time inspirations while blending in more modern-day artistic styles from London on Da Track, Mike Dean, 30Roc, FINNEAS, Metro Boomin and Murda BeatZ. Boyd’s eccentric style and sound stems from his use of live orchestral instruments in combination with other distinct elements such as vocal samples and environmental recordings.
