Boys Age is a music project started in the early 2010s by Kaznary Mutoh, a singer-songwriter from Saitama, Japan (and his best friend who moved to Germany). After many transitions and detours, the project is now Muto's solo project, and continues to play a hazy sound that seeks the deep cosmic peace that hovers in the heart.
As he once said, "The only thing in life is the days that pass by..." It may be a tape recording of days dominated by a deep sense of loneliness and intense rage, or it may be a long, long suicide note that spends one's life.
Music should not be part of, tied to, or controlled by fashion, culture, ideology, or anything else, it should simply be "music."
Boys Ageは2010年代初期頃に日本・埼玉のシンガーソングライターKaznary Mutoh(とドイツに移住した彼の親友)によって始動した音楽プロジェクトです。多くの変遷を遂げ、時に寄り道を繰り返しながら、現在はMutoのソロプロジェクトとして、心にたゆたう深宇宙的平穏を求める、うつろなサウンドを奏で続けられています。
かつて彼が「過ぎ去りし日々だけが人生だー」と語ったように、それは、深い寂寥感と烈しい憤怒に支配された日々の記録テープ、或いは人生を費やす長い長い遺書のようなものかも知れません。
「音楽は、ファッションやカルチャー、イデオロギー他、あらゆる全てに属さず・紐付けられず・支配されず、単に『音楽』であれば良いのです」
