Independent recording artist and songwriter, Brack Jones, has had a strong connection to music his entire life. Being born into a musical family with diverse musical interests has had quite an impact on his career choice, and he has taken the opportunity to record his first release, 5 song EP Almost Poetry, in 2024. Ode to Tom, the first single from the EP is a personal song. A tribute to Tom Petty, Ode to Tom speaks to the history of Petty's catalogue. It contains numerous references to Petty's songs, characters, album titles, and band mates and a few other Easter eggs for Petty fans. For those not yet a fan of Tom Petty, it tells of a story toward a greater understanding for a king, a poet, a dancing partner, and a girl venturing out into the unknown vastness of America for the first time.
Almost Poetry was recorded at Fort Worth Sound with award winning engineer\producer Bart Rose and the 24 channel Neve Custom Console.
