Haffi and Halli had been riding their musical horses together at the most unlikely opportunities since the years associated with Duran Duran and Wham. BRaK’s first album, Silfurkoss was released on September 11, 2004, with a very favorable reception, including being the record of the week on Channel 2 on The Icelandic National Broadcasting Service.

After a long hiatus, the members of BRaK were eager to return to recording. A few years ago, the two-person band went on a trip together to write new songs for the next album. The trip was successful, and a stack of new songs was born. Since then, the duo has been working on the new album on two continents, Halli in the USA and Haffi in Europe.
The first song from the new album, Inside, was released in 2022 and has been very well received. On the one hand, the album celebrates the little things that make life worthwhile and is a collection of stories. Musically a blend of melodic pop and rock.

BRaK is releasing a second full studio album, Embracing Forward, on June 8, 2023, and is planning a European and North American tour in the autumn of 2023.
