Brandies Band

Brandies Band is a Belgian band built around singer-songwriter Kris Van den Branden. They are a family affair: Kris is joined by his nephew Glenn (on guitar), his wife Veerle (vocals), and their daughters Evelien (piano) and Hannelore (flute).
Their latest single is "Be Brave" (released in August 2025), a powerful anti-war song focusing on the fate of children affected by war. For this song, Brandies Band was joined by a choir, turning the lyrics into a collective appeal for peace.
Brandies Band released 2 full albums so far. In October 2022 they released their first album "Yeats to Music", which contains ten contemporary songs based on poems by the Irish poet W.B. Yeats. A bonus track called "Rise and Go Now" (also based on a Yeats poem) was released as a single in May 2023. In 2023 and 2024 they played the Yeats songs live in Belgium and the UK (together with the a cappella band Factor 7) to celebrate the centenary of Yeats being awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.
In January 2025 they released their second album "Another Mountain" and a Dutch single "De Laatste Trein". The album "Another Mountain" includes 11 songs (in English), including an English version of "De Laatste Trein". It also includes "Bright" and "A Little Song with a Big Wish", which had been released in 2024 as singles and the forerunners of the album.
