I’ve been the voice behind one of the most streamed dance songs of the last decade — but When You Stay is the first time I feel like I’m showing who I really am.
I broke out as the voice and writer of “Body” with Loud Luxury, a record that went on to pass 1.5 billion streams and opened the doors to the dance world for me. I went on to release solo dance records that have now crossed 300 million streams on Spotify — but behind all of it, I was writing something different. Songs that didn’t just live in the clubs, but lived in the memories that come after.
WYS is my first step into that world. It’s an acoustic-leaning pop record about the people who leave your life, but somehow never really leave you. It’s not a departure from my past — it’s a reveal of what’s always been underneath it.
