Best known for his intimate solo work and role in JUNO-nominated Yukon Blonde, Brandon Wolfe Scott’s latest project marks both a personal and musical departure.
In the wake of a breakup, Brandon found himself revisiting half-finished songs — fragments of melodies, buried voice notes, and scribbled ideas from quieter moments — trying to breathe new life into them.
What began as a solitary process soon expanded into a collaborative experiment, sparked by visits from Moonriivr’s Gavin Gardiner and “Champagne” James Robertson.
Whenever the band passed through Vancouver, they’d crash at Brandon’s place, transforming his living room into a makeshift studio—amps tucked beside the couch, speakers perched on a make-shift table, and cables weaving between guitars and coffee mugs.
These day sessions were productive, focused and evolved into something more intentional. Brandon brought the songs; Gavin and James brought their signature sonic world — tape-saturated textures, vintage mics, and innovative ‘60s pop sensibilities. Together, they crafted a sound that feels both nostalgic and new: vintage heartbreak reframed in shimmering colour.
The upcoming EP reflects a shift — in sound, in circumstance, in self. It’s Brandon stepping into the next version of himself, with familiar ghosts in the room and new collaborators at the console.
