Brashawn

Brashawn was born on November 21, 1994 in Visalia Ca. Brashawn started rapping and producing when he was just twelve years old, remixing other rappers beats. At just 14, Brashawn released his first mixtape when he was just a freshman in high school titled “young and reckless”. Brashawn started his brand (ATA) ABOVE THE AVERAGE when he was only 16 in his high school homeroom class. Some of the Brashawn’s favorite rappers and mentors are Nipsey Hussle, Dj Quik, E-40, Kendrick Lamar, and J-cole. The list goes on for artist that inspire him. Brashawn says that one of his goals was to get his music heard by Nipsey Hussle. Who was fatally gunned down in front of his marathon store on March 31, 2019. Brashawn says that he was in shock when he heard that one of his favorite rappers had passed away. Brashawn’s overall goal is to be a Grammy nominated artist, producer.
I stopped buying jewelry and materialistic things,and invested into my career. I bought studio equipment, sounds, plugin’s everything I needed to make records. The first thing to becoming a artist is believing in yourself and having confidence. I knew I could do it and other people loved and supported my music so I continued to pursue my career.
