Born and raised in Northwestern Italy, Timothy Colangelo (known as <a href="spotify:artist:1zceCWPPBSCXx6Y1C7mHYd" data-name="Break The Bass">Break The Bass</a>) started to get into music, more specifically electronic music, at the age of 5 with Eurodance compilations. After dipping his toes into pop and rap music, in 2012 he starts his journey into EDM by first starting to DJ and make mash-ups, after a few months he got his hands on a Digital Audio Workstation, FL Studio, to be specific.
After 8 years of experimenting and having few big tracks under his belt, including a trap remix of the 2014 <a href="spotify:artist:60d24wfXkVzDSfLS6hyCjZ" data-name="Martin Garrix">Martin Garrix</a>'s smash hit, "Tremor", a collaboration with Belgian super-producers <a href="spotify:artist:73jBynjsVtofjRpdpRAJGk" data-name="Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike">Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike</a>, he finally found his happy place in a mix of classical and orchestral breakdowns with very spacey and dreamy instruments stacks combined with Melodic Dubstep, Drum n Bass and Future Bass, but he does not shy away from other genres like Electro House, Bass House or even Hardstyle, Rawstyle and Hardcore.
On top of that, he is a full-on content creator and graphic designer, working on all of his logos, coverarts and promotional material, and he is also an advocate for mental health awareness, being struggling himself with anxiety and depression, which he reflects in some tracks, such as "Welcome To Hell", a tale of a tortured mind and soul told through heavy dubstep basses.
His main inspirations in terms of artists and styles include <a href="spotify:artist:2CIMQHirSU0MQqyYHq0eOx" data-name="deadmau5">deadmau5</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4FXGRMSHh2JjHxVwS8dhH1" data-name="Virtual Riot">Virtual Riot</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5ttgIeUVka6FLyi00Uu5h8" data-name="Jauz">Jauz</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3dz0NnIZhtKKeXZxLOxCam" data-name="Porter Robinson">Porter Robinson</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4pb4rqWSoGUgxm63xmJ8xc" data-name="Madeon">Madeon</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0MBGxwmCdXdO26ojaNcT64" data-name="Atmozfears">Atmozfears</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4f0OXMMSxr0r8Ztx6CdpAl" data-name="Sub Zero Project">Sub Zero Project</a>.
