Bria Cheri is a multi-faceted artist. She is a singer-songwriter, musician, dancer and aspiring actress. Born and raised on the Southside of Jamaica Queens, NY. Her love for music began at the age of three when her mother introduced her to piano. Bria Has spent over a decade perfecting her craft and pursuing her passion of being a professional recording artist.
Through performing in and around her hometown she caught the attention of Donnie Klang, who is a singer-songwriter and producer who was a former artist of Bad Boy Records after winning Sean "Diddy" Combs' TV Reality Show "Making the Band 4." Donnie noticed Bria had a unique, soulful, but sweet tone to her voice and took her under his wing. Donnie then produced her first EP titled "Before the Music."
Each song was written entirely by Bria. Her first EP is an introduction to who she is as an artist. The project touches on unrequited love, stress, taking chances and more. Her writing consists of storytelling and leaving messages in the music. Her influences range from Aaliyah to Chaka Khan. Drawing from those influences, Bria is able to tap into her emotions and bring forth music that people can relate to. She speaks for people in their 20s trying to navigate life and learn about who they are.
