Brian James Griffith is a Los Angeles-based bassist who released music previously under the moniker <a href="spotify:artist:5xdd4JZPSTRWGuUJ5LB3vk" data-name="Greyghost">Greyghost</a>. In 2018, he released <a href="spotify:album:38b0ebWsbF1nGlwU493GeG" data-name="From Particles">From Particles</a> on Aural Canyon, as well as Inner Work on Histamine Tapes under his full name. In 2019 he followed up the previous year's albums with Over Turn, released on KMAN 92.5 Tapes. <a href="spotify:album:4EOG7G84FbksSyXwanZ46j" data-name="Flaps for Jackie">Flaps for Jackie</a> is the latest release which was originally composed as a collection of music for a documentary about <a href="spotify:artist:6AXXiSvB6R7MpYsXW1inOx" data-name="Jackie Shane">Jackie Shane</a>. The creative prompt for this album was to create background music that sounded like dove’s wings flapping, which would serve as the underscore for Shane’s recorded interview. Unfortunately the film never became a reality, due to Shane’s passing in 2019.
He also performs with <a href="spotify:artist:03x1m7YsKW8gVMpR6J9Q5p" data-name="Teasips">Teasips</a> in the experimental New Age duo, <a href="spotify:artist:6W7TTQHGJK4ndUfwedhQVu" data-name="Electric Sound Bath">Electric Sound Bath</a>. As well as with the 90s-indie-revival band <a href="spotify:artist:4c9GG27DupEN73Fi3z19ED" data-name="Nightgown">Nightgown</a>.
