Far from lost and ready to be found, Brian Seymour is one of the most sincere performing songwriters that you have never heard of–think David Gray from Asbury Park. Inside his heartfelt folk-pop gems he can help you feel all the feels and stop the world from spinning four minutes at a time. Carrying a Ph.D. in the history of art, Seymour brings a unique perspective to the creative process, informing his crafted but hardly precious lyrics that pack a punch atypical among his peers. As a confident, seasoned performer, he charms audiences and draws everyone in close. At the piano or the podium, he guides us to our better selves with wit and wisdom.

Born within range of the roar of the Great Falls in Paterson and growing up in Red Bank, Brian Seymour is Jersey through and through. After a decade of releasing CDs and lighting up intimate venues from Boston to Atlanta he shifted time to family and grad school, and yet just then he landed key placements in film and tv, as well as covers by diverse artists including Dan Tyminski of Union Station, party band CowboyMouth, and Philly punks Foxy Contin.

Don’t get him started telling stories, how he turned a pair of shows at the Viper Room into a lucrative national tv ad campaign, or about his month-long residency playing Tom Waits covers at the House of Blues in Shanghai.
Seymour’s forthcoming LP American Courage is a career-defining moment of honest songwriting and powerful performances.
