Bricks & Clay are the unruly offspring of rap and dub, a bass- infused symbiosis of trap and new electronic music, the blood curling opposite of dull pop music and mainstream hip hop. The crew formed after the extreme sports and club vagrants DISCODOGS encountered full-blooded MC and cosmopolitan Edgar Wallis, who settled in Berlin and Cologne. Wallis journey into music began as a kid in Ghana and NewYork.
The three are native to every environment where eyes, ears and minds are open in order to celebrate the joy, doubts and ecstasy of human existence.
Using sounds from the future and topics of the present, Pedi, Diz and Edgar fight the dreariness of modern society. Hedonism and politics are no longer contrary topics by the time two needles hit black vinyl and vibrations of vocal cords make microphone diaphragms tingle.
