Home to the original of electronic music, Chicago has been an epicenter for the genre for decades. As the city’s new talents take over, many aim to rejuvenate the spirit of the house days. BRKS certainly fits the mold to become one of the city’s brightest stars in this regard. The thirty one-year-old producer finds inspiration from a variety of dance artists, from Above & Beyond to Hausman and Tagavaka. This variety within the genre has given him unique perspectives on each take within the electronic scene, as he crafted his own sound while adapting the best aspects from a myriad and sprinkling in his own touches. Flairs of progressive trance and melodic house are present in some of his most recent work, with fan favorites like "Highlands" and "Sunrise" capturing BRKS at his best.
