Bro D has always met all obstacles that life has thrown at him with a relentlessly positive perspective.
When an injury changed his pursuit towards excellence, it didn't take too long for Bro D to realize that music wasn't only meant to facilitate is passion for breakdancing.
Shortly after a familiar message, often found in all forms of reggae music, won over his heart, he dedicated himself to the complex art of creating music. As a gifted singer and songwriter, he joined a very talented band, TRIUMPHANT out of Ogden, Utah. After a short run the band broke up. Devastated, but still determined, Bro D convinced the touring band Fortunate Youth to allow him to sing a verse with them in front of a sold out crowd in Salt Lake City. He hasn't looked back or had any doubts since !!
The formation of Backstage Music Lessons was manifested just 2 days later. Over 30 lessons from a multitude of professional musicians in the SoCal reggae scene, he gained support with composition, instrumental collaborations, production, mix/mastering, and mentorship, allowing him to debut a barrage of professional quality tracks set to release throughout the summer of 2021.
