Broken Record is the creation of Las Vegas-based musician Ayden Fodge, a self-taught artist with a passion for raw, unfiltered punk music. Originally from New Jersey, Ayden started Broken Record in 2018 at 12 years old, channeling his frustrations and dreams into DIY recordings. Influenced by Green Day, NOFX , and The Bouncing Souls , he honed his sound over years of writing, recording, and releasing music independently. Broken Record has grown into a deeply personal project, staying true to the DIY ethos.
In 2019, Ayden released Punk’s Not Dead, his first demo album, recorded using GarageBand on his iPhone. After relocating to Las Vegas in 2020, he embraced the DIY spirit even more, releasing Lazy and Bad Luck, which saw a progression in both sound and ambition. In 2021, he released his first full-length album, Distortion, which solidified his DIY approach.
2022 saw the release of Simplicity, featuring more polished songs and a growing online presence. Ayden’s most ambitious project, A Boring Paradise, was released in 2023, gaining traction with the standout track “Romeo and Juliet.”
In 2024, Ayden’s Class of the Hopeless, a concept album about the struggles of ending adolescence, marked his most introspective and carefully crafted work to date. Set for release on October 25, it represents a bold new chapter for Broken Record, exploring themes of mental health, identity, and an uncertain future.
