Brooke Haynes

Raised in northern Atlanta, GA, Brooke Haynes grew up listening to a varied catalog of musical influences. She was fascinated with music from a young age. When she was a kid, she’d beg her dad to let her go with him to pick up her brother from football practice because that meant they would be listening to 90s grunge and alternative music. In her awkward years of middle school, Brooke struggled to make friends & found solace in indie music from the likes of MGMT, Florence + the Machine, Fleet Foxes, and Young the Giant. She participated in choir from the time she was 7 to the time she was 18, where she learned vocal techniques, harmonizing skills, piano, and music theory. As she got older, she grew obsessed with studying classic rock and watching music documentaries, which finally pushed her into playing guitar and performing her songs for live audiences. She moved to Nashville after high school to pursue music and audio education. It was during these years that Radiohead, Stevie Nicks, and Jeff Buckley became cemented as some of her most influential artists, giving birth to her ethereal and haunting sound. Brooke continues to use her passion for writing with untraditional song structures, combining electronic and acoustic elements, and crossing genre lines to push the envelope and develop a mystical sound that’s uniquely her own.
