Brooke Malie also known as “Malie” launched her debut single “Good Old Days” in 2019, raising 10k streams on her own. She then decided to put out a Tiktok about what inspired the song and gained her more attention, now a little over 1 million streams.
She says her song Good Old Days was about her watching the hit sitcom TV show “ The Office” she was watching the last episode where one of the characters named Andy Bernard says “I wish there was a way to go back to the good old days, before you’ve actually left them, somebody should right a song about that” so she did!
She says people would ask her if it was about any special person. But she said that her inspiration was about wishful thinking, because at the moment in her life she never dated anyone and it was purely from her heart and untouched perspective of love.
