Brooke Pomeroy

Hi! My name is Brooke Pomeroy. I am a singer/songwriter from the Chicagoland area. I developed a love for music at a very young age. My sister is really the one who instilled this in me. I have very vivid memories of her and me sitting around the little family desktop, watching hours and hours of early 2000s music videos into the wee hours of the night. Watching and listening to artists/bands like Justin Bieber, Iggy Azalea, Enrique Iglesias, Blind Melon, Led Zeppelin and many more completely enthralled me. I didn’t realize it then but, looking back now, that was the beginning of my musical journey. Later, when I was 10, I picked up the guitar and soon after wrote my first song. It was entitled “I’m Trying”. Not really sure why at such a young age I was writing dark and somber tunes, haha little 11 year old me was going thru it, but that theme remains pretty consistent even with the songs I write today. And that pretty much brings me to why I write music anyways. I use it as a tool to express the things inside me I could never do with just words. Truly my only hope is that you connect with the music. So many people, even the ones who seem to have it all together, are dealing with the same fears, insecurities, sadness, maybe even rage that you are. I hope that my music offers some kind of comfort to embrace these emotions when they come. To know that you are not alone. You are not an island. We are all in this together. :)
