Brother Pit

'Acoustic Americana from the wild, wild East'...

Brother Pit is an eight-piece string-band based in Norwich, UK. We play an eclectic and light-hearted mix of traditional American tunes, more recent folk/rock classics, and original songs in a similar vein written by several members of the band.

Covers include tunes by Woodie Guthrie, Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Neil Young, Steve Earl, The Grateful Dead, The Pogues, The Waterboys, Dillard&Clark, Tim Hardin, The Doobie Brothers, The Clash, The Secret Sisters and many more.

With four of us sharing lead vocals, and everyone pitching in on harmonies, expect a big sound and a varied and engaging show. Brother Pit is:

Brother Pit has played at the Norwich Arts Centre, Ely Folk Festival, Jurnets Bar and the Puppet Theatre in Norwich, Wymondham Music Festival, the Pennoyer Centre, Cromer Pier and various pubs, parties and beer festivals around the city and county.
