Formed in 1996, folk-acoustic duo <a href="spotify:artist:4vdR70FVH6VX3CFjljdMih" data-name="brothernature">brothernature</a>, London-Irish brothers <a href="spotify:artist:0W4O7ip19e8xEENhhcmSES" data-name="Adrian Duffy">Adrian Duffy</a> and Melvin Duffy, toured the UK & Ireland, alongside supports for <a href="spotify:artist:4PJr7ul4bQnwmOVavOrHJB" data-name="Robbie McIntosh">Robbie McIntosh</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5JmiJ0uN4rutaRsDfBUPHl" data-name="Jimmy Nail">Jimmy Nail</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4bJ63TQhTRvKP8xvw44c6h" data-name="Vigilantes Of Love">Vigilantes Of Love</a>. US gigs included New York's <a href="spotify:playlist:7rU8daXzXwSEvwaRM52scX" data-name="CBGBS NY">CBGBS NY</a>, Mercury Lounge and The Bitter End.
Released and promoted through their own indie label, debut album <a href="spotify:album:6vBPfR293WhNPwfqJG3QxI" data-name="Looking Down The Road">Looking Down The Road</a>, quietly achieved "album of the week" on BBC Radio Foyle/Ulster & BBC Radio Wales, "hotly tipped" by Janice Long BBC Radio 2. This followed up with EPs <a href="spotify:album:5ke0KG1UDepupgUTIzNru3" data-name="Engines Are Pulling Me">Engines Are Pulling Me</a>, <a href="spotify:album:0h7XOm9IkyEBApaTzLb8HG" data-name="Ten Minutes">Ten Minutes</a> and <a href="spotify:album:4KotTw9cnI77b03B3caYCL" data-name="Resolved By Love">Resolved By Love</a>.
Their sophomore album left waiting in the wings, whilst Melvin recorded and toured the world on pedal steel and slide guitar for <a href="spotify:artist:2HcwFjNelS49kFbfvMxQYw" data-name="Robbie Williams">Robbie Williams</a>, <a href="spotify:album:4sgNyq4LbcoRnNhte25GPs" data-name="I've Been Expecting You">I've Been Expecting You</a>, <a href="spotify:album:4QyE2i0y4nyxHsiwm6VK9V" data-name="Escapology">Escapology</a>, including the huge <a href="spotify:album:1S543Bgkd1pzNtqHrDp5bq" data-name="Live At Knebworth">Live At Knebworth</a> gigs.
