Hey! I grew up in Metro Detroit, about 10 miles from Hitsville USA, where all the Motown music was made. That music was always playing on the local oldies radio stations when I was a kid, and I soaked it up like Wonder Bread.
My favorite songs were the ones that had some bounce and that I could blast with the windows down. So that’s the kind of music I write and record now. It’s feel-good music that reminds me of simpler times and good vibes.
