dear friends and followers, we’re leaving spotify.
our upcoming releases will no longer appear on the platform, and over time, we’ll be removing our earlier work as well.
this is a decision we’ve been sitting with for a long time. like many artists, we started out using spotify as a way to reach listeners far and wide. we’re grateful to everyone who’s supported us here, but we can‘t ignore what the platform has
become, and what it continues to represent.
spotify’s business model is designed to benefit shareholders and tech executives, not the people who actually make the music. the platform pays artists a fraction of a cent per stream, relies on exploitative algorithms, and is a system that prioritizes volume and virality over care, creativity, and sustainability.
on top of that, spotify’s CEO, Daniel Ek, has invested vast sums into military tech companies developing AI-powered surveillance and targeting systems used in warfare. knowing that the revenue generated from our music might help fund weapons and conflict makes us feel complicit in something we fundamentally oppose.
we cannot accept that our work—born out of care, vulnerability, and resistance— is being used to support systems of violence. we’ve reached a point where staying on spotify simply doesn’t align with our values—neither as musicians nor as human beings.
we’re still here. you can find our music on other platforms, feel free to join us in our search for something better.
with love and resistance,
BSÍ
