Bstar (born Bernard Mathis Jr.) is an American recording artist and creative who brings his unique style of hip-hop music to the world. Originally from Central Florida, Bstar has a passion for expressing his vision through music and content. He began his musical journey as a child, participating in his school chorus and singing in the children's choir at his hometown church. He then shifted to rap music in high school. Through networking with local musicians, Bstar was able to learn how to produce music professionally. He is inspired by Southern music icons such as Master P, Lil Wayne, and others who have taught him the importance of perseverance, persistence, and forward-thinking. At the age of 17, Bstar performed at multiple shows and festivals in the Central Florida area, including a headlining appearance at the Central Florida Fair. In late 2012, he moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue his dreams and attend Los Angeles film school, where he learned how to film and direct his own videos.
In 2020 Bstar released debut single, “Tweety,” which was co-written by Boosie Badazz, reached over 1 million streams in the USA, and was featured on BET JAMs on February 7th, 2021.
