Thanks for taking an interest in my music. I write original songs, play them with my friends and we record them to share. I play what I call “Slide Guitar Soul Jazz.” This combines my slide guitar technique with my love of Blues, Funk and freely improvised music. I’ve been developing this music for a long time. Through Alt-Country bands, scuzzy Blues Rock bands and, since 2010, in my own groups, I’ve worked at creating my own sound.
In 2014 I released my first solo album, The Bucky Band Vol.1. This first attempt at finding my sound came out loud and drenched in Blues-Rock. It’s the first time I seriously tried to sing and write songs that represented me.
In December 2023, I released my sophomore record, The Sun’s Light is Hazy. Recorded between 2020 and 2022 during COVID lockdown, this record was a way for me to stay connected to my musical friends. I explored electronic percussion, indulging in my love of Hip Hop.
The Sun’s Light is Hazy is not a COVID record in theme or content only in execution. This music presents some of my old identities and new understandings. It is a testament to connection and perseverance. It is also the first record that truly represents my style of music - my technique for playing guitar, my perspective as a songwriter and my voice as a singer. Slide Guitar Soul Jazz
I play live music all around the Northeast. It is one of my greatest joys to share my music with people. I humbly hope it resonates for you.
