Bud Larson, formerly known as independent Hip-Hop artist Baby Bluey, is an up-and-coming country musician from a small town in central Illinois. Braden (Bud) Larson, gets his country sound from being heavily inspired by artists such as Shaboozey, Morgan Wallen, Bailey Zimmerman, Zach Bryan and Sam Barber.
Growing up, Bud was always around the country lifestyle. His great grandpa owns a farm, and he would always be out around horses and tractors, while bailing hay during the summertime. Bud states that it feels like he’s “going back to his roots”. The type of music he is currently making now is the kind of music he always used to listen to growing up. He may not know it all, but for him, this is it, and it feels right.
Bud felt a change of heart after seeing his favorite artist, Shaboozey, perform at the Illinois state fair. He had followed Shaboozey and his career for a while, but started getting more into his music in October of 2023. Bud’s song Let It Burn (originally released under Baby Bluey), was actually inspired by Shaboozey’s track Let It Burn as well. After seeing Shaboozey perform at the Illinois state fair in August, he felt a calling to start making his own country music.
2024 was a year of change, and as the year went on, the country lifestyle kind of just found him. It took him is as it’s own, and he embraces it now more than ever. Fans of country music who used to follow Bud’s journey as Baby Blue can look forward to all new country music in 2025 🧡🌾
