Out of the thriving East Coast Reggae scene emerged Buddha Council in late 2013. Originally functioning as a Reggae think-tank comprised of members from Virginia Beach-based bands Bimini Rd. and Session Rockers, they quickly found footing in their own unique take on future roots music. From the beginning, their songs have consistently pushed genre boundaries while simultaneously rediscovering forgotten rhythms of Reggae's yesteryear. 2018's True Love, on Roots Musician Records, continued in this tradition, cementing their devoted grassroots following, and created a growing international audience. Their music coupled with their energetic live performances embodies the spirit and grit of free thinking artists devoted to sharing their passion and love for music.
