I’m Andy King , a hardcore Linkin park fan since my early teens. After Chester Bennington passed away in 2017 and the band went on hiatus I realised it created an emptiness in myself , which I decided to try and fill by writing my own music and had no idea where it would take me . I formed a musical project called Burning In The Skies, named aptly after my favourite Linkin Park song and went from there! My music is heavily influenced by them but i write depending on how I feel and the sound ranges from piano ballads with soft melodic vocals to heavy guitar driven rock with crunching gritty vocals, and also encompasses synth driven pop. I grew up surrounded by music , My mother played the piano and father played the guitar , which I inherited when he passed away. We used to play together in our spare time to bond as a family and some of my fondest childhood memories are those moments. In my professional life I work in the medical field which I love but with the stress I find music to be a healing escape . I most recently got played on BBC Radio Sheffield and had an interview with North Hollywood Radio which I’m incredibly thankful for and I’m extremely excited to see what happens next !
