Burnside formed officially in late 2009 in the quiet suburbs of Western Sydney but have been playing music together for over ten years. The goal was to take their love of rock n roll and blend it with the modern tones of the synth but bring it back to earth with the organic sounds of the orchestra. They have been described as a blend between Birds of Tokyo and Foo Fighters with a side of old school Silverchair.
Their anticipated debut album “Evolution” was released in December 2012 to an eager mob of online fans through iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and many other digital music stores. The album has also spread like wildfire through the online world of pirate music sites which has helped fuel a staggering number of new fans on their Facebook page and gigs.
