Growing up surrounded by classical & gospel music in his childhood home, Burose sneakily found his introduction to hip-hop & R&B at an early age. He cites Dr. Dre & Eminem's 2001 collaboration ‘Forgot About Dre’ as one of his earliest hip-hop memories. Shortly thereafter, he fell in love with Fabolous & Tamia’s 2003 track ‘Into You’.
Currently juggling between songwriting, recording, producing, directing, shooting, editing & independently marketing himself, Burose prefers to embrace a "taking the stairs over the elevator" approach to his artistry.
Artists such as Bryson Tiller, Nipsey Hussle, Drake, The Weeknd & Future are amongst a list of influences Burose credits for inspiration. His sound draws similar lyrical, sonic, and thematic elements found in their music, as well as in artists like The Kid Laroi, Dominic Fike, Westside Boogie, Iann Dior, and Arizona Zervas.
Though he prefers to keep his identity off the radar, Burose doesn’t want to be a secret forever. As his musical career begins to gain traction, he leaves it in the hands of his supporters to accelerate the time in which he can comfortably let his guard down.
His 2022 release Gone From Here has garnered over 390K streams on Spotify, while his collective discography has amassed over 700K streams across all DSPs. Following a near two-year hiatus, Burose unveils his most introspective release to date: ‘Trapped My Soul’, an intimate composition that transcends beyond music to heal a fractured connection.
