BusiGold

Busi Gold is a Singer, Back-up singer, Song Writer and currently working on my solo project. I started singing at church with my sisters at a very young age, and studied music at Central Johannesburg College (2004 - 2006) . While studying I participated on a show called Jam Alley which aired on Fridays SABC 1 and won first position. I also participated on The Coca - Cola Pop Stars and was eliminated on the Solo round. It was at that point many people started encouraging me to go solo as an artist. Between 2006 - 2009 I joined an all-female group called Deeva where we performed on corporate gigs. I have worked as a back-up singer for the below high profile artist’s: Themba Mkhize, Vusi Khumalo, Wouter Kellerman, a Grammy Award winner.

Recorded a DVD with Simphiwe Dana and has worked with Nhlanhla Nciza of Mafikizolo fame, Co-wrote a Global Warming Song with legends like Hip Hop Pantsula (HHP), Angelique Kidjo, and others. I have worked on a number of Theater production like "Fat Girl Sings" with Nape Mashiane, and "Umoja" touring Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Norway and South Africa, worked on "The Flying Carpet" as the lead singer at the Market Theatre to name just a few.
I have worked with Acappella group like NoLimits Music group on the "Beyond Measure"
project and also featured on Emmanuel Music Group (EMG) album.
