Titus Makin has long enjoyed a multi-faceted career and most recently, he released a new song, “Rose,” under his music moniker Butterfly Ali. The stunning R&B/soul track is reminiscent of the artists he often cites as inspiration, ranging from Marvin Gaye to Leon Bridges. “Come back Rose,” he pleads as the soulful love song unfolds.
A graduate of the New York Conservatory, Makin has long straddled dueling careers. While he can currently be seen on ABC’s hit show “The Rookie,” alongside Nathan Fillion, Makin has never stopped showcasing his stunning voice. Raised in a military household brimming with jazz, funk, soul and blues, his music comfortably lives in that mainstream Soul/R&B space.
In addition to his current series regular role on “The Rookie,” Makin has also appeared on such iconic shows as “Glee” and “Pretty Little Liars,” yet this song is the first of many to come.
