Buxales is the musical project of Christian Bixby, launched in 2023. His self-titled debut album, released in 2025, is a truly independent venture that defies easy categorization, blending elements of synth pop, electronic, alt rock, industrial, indie dance, post-punk, and new wave. Influenced by artists such as The Avalanches, LCD Soundsystem, Gorillaz, MGMT, New Order, Skinny Puppy, Laibach, Gary Numan, NIN, Daft Punk, MF Doom, Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Massive Attack, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, and Prince, among others, Buxales crafts a distinctive sound. The project features all-original music interwoven with samples from public domain movies, TV shows, cartoons, and other media, creating a unique sonic experience while telling a story along the way.
