Byzantine, who is also known as Byzantine Kings, is a new edgy hip hop group from Baltimore and Philadelphia. These six artists that have taken the monikers of Saints of the Byzantine Era, represent a light in a dark period just as those Saints of that time. Through cautionary tales, songs of hope, and good vibes with that grit from the streets of Philadelphia and Baltimore, St Justinian, St Leo, St Phocas, and St Zeno brings a refreshing aura to game of hip hop. The group was influenced by a wide range of iconic groups before them, from Public Enemy to Wu Tang Clan to State Property. Byzantine was introduced to the world with their single "ILL” and their follow up “Water”, but there is so much more in store.
