Being touted as the best of anything is a weighty predicament to discern, especially in the realm of art and music. But the decision of how to respond to this claim from those who experience C4MULA is something that the southern California native deals with more frequently than he prefers. Born in Orange, CA and raised by his mother and sister after his father passed early on in his childhood.
Some live their whole lives searching for their identity but very early in his life C4MULA realized the gift he received. Listening to early west coast hip hop records he quickly found his voice and began studying the artistry to improve his own abilities. In an era of braggadocios mediocre glamour and glitz rappers on a mission for dollar signs it is a breath of fresh air to find a true artisan who respects the art form and all those who have worked their lives to push the quality of music to the limits day after day. Humility is a lost treasure in music and more so in the hip hop culture but as a lifetime student of his craft he’ll never admit to it in conversation, you’ll just have to witness and judge for yourself.
