Hailing in from Paterson, New Jersey, singer-rapper, dancer, and songwriter C4RTER (born Michael Carter) is the newest act in the Pop, R&B, and Hip Hop scene. By the age of 5 he knew exactly what he wanted to do. Carter started singing and by age 7, he was a star student playing the piano. Growing up, Carter was more introverted and would rather spend his time perfecting his craft or discovering new artist. This lead to his appreciation of the different genres of music and writing styles that helped cultivate his sound, which he started developing at just 10 years old when he wrote his first song. At age 8, he started dancing and became a professional dancer at 16, working with the artist like Wyclef Jean, Lil Mama, and Elijah Blake. Inspired by the likes of Michael and Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, Prince, and Chris Brown, and his ultimate love & appreciation for all things music, he brings in a fresh new energy that is nothing short of addictive. Carter is currently working on his debut solo project.
