„Everybody`s possessed of acclaim, no one seems to think like my way”.
With the voice of a generation that fights simply for the sake of fighting – caught in this conflict, the band Cabin on Pluto creates a reflection filled with doubt and antipathy towards society, and perhaps even a reflection of themselves.
Fueled by arrogant protest and dark post-punk songs, the band has, for several years, generated a unique, unmistakable energy in their music – an energy they hurl at their audience with uncompromising force. Since participating in the Bandsupport Mannheim programme in 2019, Cabin on Pluto has become a fixture in the regional indie scene, performing numerous gigs in and around their hometown of Mannheim.
The band’s musical style blends the genres of post-punk and noise rock. The power of each song lies in their uncompromising determination to deliver an unfiltered, raw sound. Cabin on Pluto channels their generation’s self-doubt into their lyrics, embodying it through gritty vocals, driving drums, and raw guitars that drift into a dark space of melancholy – melodic yet monotonous.
Their latest release, the “Fruchtbahnhof Session", showcases Cabin on Pluto’s raw energy and uncompromising noise sound in an electrifying 12-minute live performance. Featuring three powerful tracks – "White Trash", "Pigeons", and "Hall" – the session unites driving rhythms, raw guitars, and rebellious lyrics.
