Cache 22 (Catch) started DJing in 1993 with his dad’s Jazz collection. Additional influences by the Zulu Prince and Chicago's hip hop scene he started spinning, MCing, break dancing and doing all things hip hop. In 1999 he met DJ Real One and became friends while at Columbia College. They were two DJ’s trying to make a name for themselves in the underground hip hop scene. From mix tapes, (when they were actually tapes) house parties in Humboldt Park to upscale clubs on the Gold Coast the pair of DJ’s have rocked turntables for over 20 years.
His love of quality hip hop and the influences of Nas, J Dilla, DJ Premier, MF Doom, Common, A Tribe Called Quest and other 90's hip hop is what you will hear in his tracks.
