Cain Lofton is an artist, songwriter, and producer from the South Side of Chicago. Although genreless by nature, Lofton describes her sound as stemming from the "Soul Imaginary," incorporating influences from Brandy to Coldplay to Eryn Allen Kane. Growing up deeply entrenched in the Chicago church music scene, Lofton draws influences from the sounds of Chicago--one of the foremost gospel hubs in the country. Her artful layering of lead and background vocals, colorful use of language, and sonically pleasing melodies have clear, yet not obvious, ties to her Chicago lineage.
