Classically trained and awarded composer, Caio Amon engages as musical director in a diversity of artistic projects. Exploring an unique trajectory in sonic and visual arts, creatively connects musical genres and medium. He pursued formal education in composition at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where the study of contemporary techniques and non-Western instruments met his practice of Brazilian popular music, resulting in collaborations with the Atlas Ensemble and Nieuw Ensemble. Early education in sound engineering at the Musicians Institute (Los Angeles) greatly imparted a sonic dimension to his vision, developed in extensive work in sound design and music production for over 80 projects in film, TV and the performing arts. Extended research in visual medium led to the founding of EROICA, a creative studio where he produces audiovisual and graphic content for the musical and cultural business. Currently based in São Paulo (Brazil), he pursuits projects and collaborations that challenge and integrate music, sound and new medium.
