CAiroglyphic, a 1st Gen Coptic Egyptian-American storyteller has been gaining a lot of attention for combining hard-hitting soulful production with consciously-poetic, God-fearing lyrics. Self taught writer and producer, he used music to escape his harsh environments, since the age of 15.
CAiroglyphic faced a lot of struggles early in life. From being kidnapped at just 11 months old to becoming homeless at the age of 18, he survived extremely traumatic conditions. Kicked out on his 18th birthday while living with his father in the Bay Area of CA, he subsequently slept on the floor at his Coptic Orthodox Church. The difficult situation only pushed him to work harder to pursue his dreams & improve his quality of life.
While working retail and attending community colleges, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a 9/11 combat veteran.
He went to school for film and landed a job with the NBA Golden State Warriors as well as radio stations 106 KMEL and Wild 94.9 as a media specialist.
Shortly after, he began teaching film to underserved youth in Oakland and San Francisco while obtaining a Bachelors degree, ultimately fulfilling his father’s dying wish before passing from Leukemia.
While teaching, he realized the impact he had on students through his mentorship and knowledge of music and film.
Now he has dedicated his purpose to making music with a message. Rap for the Soul. ™️
