Cal Twomey is an Irish singer-songwriter currently based in Helsinki, Finland.
In late 2020, Cal found himself in Helsinki, and quickly fell in love with the local music scene. Perhaps best known locally as singer and guitarist in Faraway Shapes, the Cork native recently decided to start a solo project as a way of showing more vulnerable and personal material.
With the help of his band, Cottonmouth, Cal has crafted a unique sound, blending elements of indie folk, blues, country and psychedelic rock. The band line-up is as follows
Drums - William Freyermuth (Lovers Left Alive)
Bass - Juuso Parjanen (Trio Grande &The Tex Mex Restaurant)
Guitars - Jere Tiane, Alexander Rozhkov (both Siivet)
Piano and Vocals - Alisa Miettinen
