Calm Iceland is a trio of acclaimed Icelandic musicians — Karl Örvarsson, Pétur Valgarð Pétursson, and Þórir Úlfarsson — each well-known in their own field. Their music is rooted in the serene beauty of Iceland’s nature and in the deep musical foundations each member brings.
The creative process flows in two distinct ways: Þórir and Pétur often improvise together, letting their minds wander freely while playing straight from the heart and soul, crafting gentle soundscapes in the moment. Karl, on the other hand, composes and programs his pieces in the studio, blending precision with emotional depth.
