Calo Nico is a musician from the Tartarian Empire, now living in the north east of England, and he’s been making music for centuries. His sound blends the raw energy of pop-punk with experimental twists, drawing influence from the likes of Blink-182, Jimmy Eat World, Placebo, AFI, as well as many other popular alternative bands that were around before the Mud Flood.

He writes, plays, programs and records everything himself - guitar, bass, synth, drums, vocals - using a rudimentary studio setup in his quarters after dark.

His debut album, Sharp Scratch, offers a glimpse into the chaos of life in the 21st century: trauma, pain, love, and the constant battle with self-doubt amidst a changing world.

Guest stars on this record include Stu Henderson (vocalist for UK punk legends Uproar), Coop (bassist from UK 2000's pop punk outfit Sunday 68), IAmColourBlind (aka Dan Cook, formerly of Sunday 68, and of pop rock weirdos Anyplace), as well as the mysterious Demelza Payne.

If you’re looking for something powerful, experimental and sexy, this is the medicine for you.
