Calvin Castillo is a talented artist with a background growing up in the Filipino way of life and learning cultural celebrations.A Chicago resident, Calvin Castillo is the first generation of his family to be born in the US. He is Fluent in English and Tagalog and takes pleasure integrating a mix of Asian and American perspectives to his music to entertain his fans.

Growing as an artist, Calvin Castillo is inspired by countless things that could enhance his music. Proud of what he has been able to accomplish thus far, he is progressively striving to become the best version of himself and draws inspirations from renowned artists like Joji, Billie Eilish, Mac Miller, and Ariana Grande. Calvin Castillo also loves the “lofi, r&b” sounds that have Asian nods to it and take pleasure envisioning the integration of that art form to his music.

Calvin Castillo music borrows from multiple centuries or cultures, while staying in touch with modern day techniques. And while he still feels that chill, bass heavy sound, Calvin Castillo wants to achieve the same connection with the upbeat sounds as he has with slower ones. Calvin believes that music is the root and foundation of our lives; to build strong lives, we must fortify the root! This is his motivation towards using his music to thrill those whose lives would be enriched by it.
