Emerging in 2020 with a string of self-released singles, Calypso Jet quickly gained strong; consistent support from BBC Introducing, eventually going on to produce the first ever mini-mix for BBC Introducing in Scotland in 2021. Further releases came in the shape of a debut EP, “Nineties”, released via Sun Turtle Records. This then followed by a single featured on the “Summer of Love” EP, released via Street Tracks, a label founded by DJ and producer, Waze. After a relatively quiet spell, Calypso Jet returns in 2023, in collaboration with Huxley and his label, Dumb Safari with what could be Calypso Jet’s most exciting release to date.
