Cam Be's blend of soul, funk, hip-hop & gospel is a refreshing sound in music. Cam Be is a film director, photographer, musician, DJ and music producer.
Cam debuted his first solo album 7 Steps to 7, May 2018, as a soundtrack to his photo exhibition So I Wrote Love in the Sky. His previous releases include 3 collaborative albums Untitled - Wake Up (2007), Rebirth (2010) and Cam Be + Josh Free - Be Free (2015). His follow up solo album Summer in September was released December 1, 2020. In addition to solo work Cam Be has teamed of with Neak to create "a film called black." Releasing music as a collective.
In addition to music Cam is an Emmy Award winning director. His first feature length documentary The Exchange released in 2015. His short documentary Where Flowers Bloom, the making of the Grammy Nominated Hip-Hop album Laila's Wisdom by Rapsody was released in 2018.
He is based out of Chicago and is the Owner and Creative Director of Camovement.
