Hailing from Berlin, the three-piece Krautrock band Camera is a group that proudly wears its influences on its sleeve. After being championed by Michael Rother, the trio supported the former Neu! legend on his tour; Rother later invited them to perform a joint show with him and Dieter Moebius. With a reputation for staging guerilla gigs across their native Berlin, they were quickly regarded as an anti-establishment outfit, recalling the spirit of their Krautrock influences. In 2012, they released their debut album Radiate! on Bureau B, to critical acclaim. The group's live shows were also garnering positive attention. They followed that album with the EP Système Solaire. Two years later, they released their second full-length, Remember I Was Carbon Dioxide. The trio's third album, Phantom of Liberty, appeared in 2016, and the disco-influenced Emotional Detox arrived in 2018. ~ Aneet Nijjar, Rovi
