Raphael Camidoh Attachie - known to his fans as Camidoh- is the leading light of Ghana’s new Afropop movement, splicing his sweet RnB/ Afrobeat fusion with lyrics that leap between English and his native language of Ewe.
First rose to prominence in late 2018 with his first official single For My Lover featuring DarkoVibes. This led to Camidoh picking up attention and appreciation from Ghanaian musical royalty in Medikal, Kelvyn Boy, Eugy Official, and Kwesi Arthur. Even with these cosigns, the success of his next move exceeded all expectations.
Recorded in late 2021 the single Sugarcane saw Camidoh pouring out his love over a joyous beat delivered by longtime Burna Boy producer Phantom. The track tore through Tiktok to become a viral sensation - first in Ghana and then beyond into Nigeria. It quickly became the #1 tune in Ghana, racking up millions of streams in the process and propelling Camidoh into the top tier. A West African facing remix quickly followed with King Promise, Mayorkun and Darkoo shooting the record to #1 in multiple countries around Africa.
Local in focus; international in appeal, ‘Midoh is the future of African Pop / RnB, and it looks like he’s just getting started. LITA, his brand new project is OUT NOW.
